Weekend in London!

London will always be a place that I will cherish forever. Ever since I studied abroad in London in 2019, I have been enthralled. Some individuals might explain London is a little like Boston, but I believe London is unique.

London is a great place to visit with friends, I would definitely advise visiting during the summer months but if you’re not like me and can bear the cold by all means. I went back to London in December 2022 to begin my birthday celebration with a few friends. We flew from Boston Logan Airport to Heathrow Airport. I flew with Air Portugal, and my flight was about $530

In my opinion, hotels in London are extremely expensive, and since we were only going to be in London for a couple of days, we decided to stay in a hostel. I was not introduced to hostels until I started traveling around Europe. Hostels can certainly be a great way to save money while traveling, and they can also provide a social and communal atmosphere that's perfect for meeting new people.

The Hostelworld app is a great resource for budget travelers, as it allows you to browse and book hostels all around the world, and read reviews and ratings from other travelers who have stayed there before. We stayed at Wombat Hostel, and we were right next to Tower Hill Station.

The Wombat Hostel is a great choice for your stay in London. Being located close to a train line is certainly a convenient feature, as it allows you to easily explore the city and its attractions.

When in London, prepare to take public transportation. We purchased a Tube Card at the station for £7 pounds and q-up our cards. When leaving London, you can return the tube card if you like and receive £5 pounds back. Or you can be like us and keep it for the next time that you are in London.

One of my favorite things to do when traveling is to find Haitian restaurants in different parts of the world. One thing about my people is that we are everywhere. We went to the first Haitian restaurant to be open in London. This restaurant is called Grill Shack and Tiki Bar Located in West London, We had such an amazing time. The owner was extremely welcoming and made us feel like we were home.

A few things we did during our trip were taking a ferry cruise along the River Thames is a great way to see the city's famous landmarks from a different perspective. The River Tower pier and the London Eye are both popular attractions that offer stunning views of the city. The cost for this was £12.25.Oxford Street is a must-visit destination for shopping enthusiasts. With a wide range of shops and boutiques, you can find everything from affordable clothing to high-end designer brands. And, as you mentioned, it's also a great place to pick up some souvenirs to take home.

One of my favorite parts of London is Camden Town, a vibrant and eclectic neighborhood well worth a visit. It's famous for its street markets, including the Camden Lock Market, where you can find all sorts of unique goods and crafts. And, of course, the food scene in Camden is fantastic, with a wide range of cuisines on offer from around the world. So, if you're a foodie, be sure to check it out and come with an empty stomach!

Towards our last few days in London for breakfast we went to EL&N Market Place there are many locations, we went to the one located in Market Pl, London. The place was extremely beautiful, a great place to take pictures very easterly pleasing. The drinks were extremely good. I ordered the peppermint tea and tried the delicious elderberry lemonade. As for the food I would have to rate it a 5/10. I ordered the pink chicken and waffles it was a little bland and I really did not enjoy it. I would still suggest that others try this place and see how they like it.

Lastly, for dinner, we went to Ticca Tikki, which is an Indian cuisine. I ordered lamb chops, and it was so delicious. Again, the place was really pleasing to the eye. The ambiance of the restaurant also sounds very pleasant, making it a nice spot for a more intimate dinner. Also, the wait time was extremely quick. Definitely will be coming back just for the lamb chops.

Overall, London was a great time, partially because my friends are so amazing, and no matter where we go and the issues we may encounter, we will always have an amazing time.
